This is the cover of my current project, an artist book to be made in an edition of twenty that explores the landscape of Iowa.  Inspired by my recent move from Chicago to Brooklyn, this book is a tribute to the Midwest that investigates art, religion, and politics, as they relate to the constructed environment.  Identifying a wide range of elements including architecture, weather, animals, insects, and plants, Heartland is an illustrated field guide to a green region where only two percent of the land remains undeveloped.
